Marylene Millerioux

Since her installation in 1994, Marylène Millérioux has collected, accumulated, multiplied the identical object. This repetitive addition generates a force. It is ordered or disordered according to his intuition.

Observation of the materials used determines the importance of the installation. From a CAP as a fitter-toolmaker, she retains an attachment to metal, to scrap metal. But his gaze is also focused on the whiteness and softness of porcelain; without forgetting the dullness of the white sandstone. Modeled or coil-mounted pieces are mainly fired with electricity, sometimes with wood. This question “what is art” written on the wall of his studio gives direction to his life.
