Although Jean-Luc Pinçon learned all the stages of pottery making from Jacques Vilain at a young age, his first job was teaching plastic arts.

For several years, he has devoted himself totally to earth and his many experiments have generated families of sculptures that explore a theme. While he has often united porcelain and stoneware, highlighted flaws, shrinkages, cracks, Jean-Luc currently devotes himself to porcelain, which he fires in an electric oven. Interlacing laces make up open spaces whose reflection in a mirror multiplies the dimensions. The fragility of the material thus staged refers to that of the human being.
