In the Menetou-Salon appellation, in the center of the Loire Valley, on the sedimentary soils of the Kimmeridgian, the Domaine Philippe Gilbert produces fresh and elegant wines, made from Pinot Noir and Sauvignon grape varieties. An artisanal work based on the principles of biodynamic agriculture.

The story began in 1768, when François Gilbert left his job as an innkeeper to take over the vines of his father-in-law. But it was not until the beginning of the XNUMXth century that the estate was designed in its current configuration and built by Philippe Gilbert, grandfather of the current owner. The chosen model is simple and still relevant: a vast rectangular courtyard with the dwelling house at the back and two long buildings that frame it on either side. On the right, the cellars and the reception of the harvest, connected underground to the vaulted cellars. On the left, the space for preparing orders, storing and welcoming visitors.
