Between 1996 and 1998, Machiko in retraining followed various training courses at CNIFOP. With the earth in her hands, she connects to her Japanese origins. This country, so different from the West, where ceramics is an art in its own right.

By perpetuating the bowl, she is directly connected to her ancestral culture. His hands reflect his feelings. His pieces in more or less raw sandstone are turned or modelled. Some, covered with rather dull engobes, others glazed overlays are fired in an electric oven, sometimes with wood. A quiet serenity emanates from his works. “Man, just a fragment of the great whole, must live in osmosis with nature,” she says simply, smiling. So east!
