Geneviève Gay chose the ceramics section directed by Mrs. Lerat and Mr. Lévêque at the School of Fine Arts in Bourges. She works there and learns about porcelain, discovers raku but also the work of paper, collages and automatic writing.

Since then, she has focused her research on the specific effects of raku: the crackling of enamels in bright colors in contrast with a very controlled smoke from gray to deep black. On large geometric supports G. Gay is currently developing an abstract writing, testimony in enamel of the movement of a spontaneous gesture. She captures a succession of poetic moments, recomposing fragments of writing like an inner archaeology.
