Claude Gaget

La Borne, once installed, it is impossible to forget the date of arrival. Claude remembers this March 13, 1973. He works at Pierre Mestre, installs his first workshop in Boisbelle. From 1974, he shared his life with Claudine Monchaussé.

Claude addresses several themes: the chair, the tree, the decorative panels representing scenes of life, bistro atmospheres where the pleasure of stopping, of immobilizing lost time. Passionate about old sandstone, he perpetuates a pottery linked to anthropomorphism, the finials, the large terrines. And its trees! Mineralized by cooking with wood, they rustle with nostalgia. We guess fables, even wolves in this wooded imagination of a Valley without return.
