The unfinished work of Nathalie Gobin

The exhibition The unfinished work at the Château d'Eau in Bourges pays tribute to Nathalie Gobin, an artist who, in just ten years, created nearly 400 paintings. Although she died prematurely at the age of 27, her works continue to captivate with their beauty and technical demands.
Through landscapes, self-portraits and ambitious compositions, Gobin was able to challenge the artistic conventions of his time with a profound and thoughtful figurative language. Each canvas, each touch of color, testifies to a rare will and aesthetic, far from simple art objects.
The exhibition, which presents a selection of her works, invites us to reflect on the role of art in our lives and to rediscover the talent of this artist whose legacy continues to resonate today.

The Last Journey: From Life to Death from the Middle Ages to the Present Day

The exhibition The Last Journey, from Life to Death from the Middle Ages to the Present Day explores the deep links between archives and the notions of death and survival. Through the symbolic stages of the final journey – preparing, leaving, keeping in touch – it reveals the evolution of funeral rites and mentalities towards death, with a particular focus on Berry.
Drawing on rare documents and loans from local institutions, this exhibition offers a historical and sensitive approach to a universal subject. Fun and accessible, it also invites families to discover how traces of the past contribute to preserving collective memory and easing the anxiety of time passing.

The Tuning of the Afterworld

Since 2021, the ENSA Sound Days have been showcasing contemporary practices of sound and sound arts. This year, Fanny Testas, guest curator of La Box, presents The Tuning of the Afterworld, a program inspired by the work of R. Murray Schafer, The Tuning of the World (1977), a major reference in acoustic ecology and soundscape.
Through exhibitions and reflections, artists, theorists and researchers question our relationship with sound in the era of the Anthropocene, in collaboration with ENSA students.
