From 21 to 22 September 2024

The European Heritage Days return to Bourges on 21 and 22 September 2024. This year, the national theme is "the heritage of routes, networks and connections" as well as "maritime heritage". Many sites will exceptionally open their doors, offering visitors the opportunity to discover often hidden treasures.

Guided tour of Saint-Étienne Cathedral and discovery of the crypt

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it will reveal its architectural wonders, as well as its remarkable stained glass windows dating from the 13th century.

Guided tours of the Jacques Coeur Palace

This masterpiece of Gothic architecture will be an opportunity to delve into the history of one of the greatest moneyers of King Charles VII, but also to discover an artistic profession: stone cutting.

Discovering Bourges in the footsteps of Geoffroy Tory
On a 3km route starting from the Château d'Eau – Château d'Art and through the city, follow in the footsteps of Geoffroy Tory. Born in Bourges, he is above all an illustrious figure of the Renaissance and as the first printer of King François I.
