A little history...
This mythical race is initially a somewhat crazy gamble. On November 26, 1951, more than 1500 people came to watch the departure of around thirty adventurers, determined to connect Bourges to Sancerre on foot. More than 57 kilometers, starting at night and in the heart of winter, you had to be angry. Initiated by the Cyclotouristes Berruyers club, still organizers today, this is how this legendary race began, which has lasted for 70 years. Today, nearly 3 participants set out to face the elements to reach the Piton Sancerrois. Only the pandemic put this fine organization on hold in 000 and 2021.
2023, an expected return
After 2 years of absence, it is finally the great return of Bourges-Sancerre. For this 70ᵉ edition, the three routes are changing a little: as the walkers demanded, the routes will take more paths than roads, and the finish will no longer be at the Caves de la Mignonne, which have closed their doors for work. end of December, but near the Sancerre gymnasium.
In the programme :
- Departure at midnight at the foot of the Cathedral for the 56 km of Bourges-Sancerre.
- Departure between 4:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. from the Salle des Fêtes de Morogue for Morogues-Sancerre (29 km).
- Departure between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. from the Sancerre gymnasium for The Little Sancerroise and its 16,5 km.
Three marked trails, refreshments to stock up on good things and a unique friendly atmosphere.

- Either by completing the registration form to be returned accompanied by a check payable to: CTB – BP 46 18001 Bourges cedex.
- Either directly: Tuesday 14, Wednesday 15 and Thursday 16 February 2023 in the hall of the Bourges town hall from 16 p.m. to 18 p.m. Saturday February 30 from 11 a.m. and 11:18 p.m. and Friday February 30 from 17 p.m. and 14:18 p.m. DECATHLON of St DOULCHARD.

Thank you to the organizers for this 70th edition. The important thing is to have organizers and of course participants. I confirm that it's still just as painful, but we are conquerors of the useless, we come for our pleasure in the respect of all. Many young people in this edition, it's nice.
