green hole
A green artery linking Lake Auron to the city centre, this long alley of plane trees with its green meadows offers you a large shaded area, perfect during the summer heat. A playground will occupy the little ones during your break before taking a walk in the historic center.
Lac d'Auron is accessible via the Trouée Verte: 1,5 kilometers of paths dedicated to gentle roaming allow you to travel in the shade of the trees in complete safety. For the bravest, nearly 30 kilometers of green ring road have been laid out to go around the city by bike or even on foot, from any point in the city. Taking the Canal de Berry à Vélo, which will eventually cross the department for 196 km, is a good way to discover Bourges and its surroundings. On foot or by bike, you have the possibility, from Plaimpied-Givaudins, of going through Bourges and Mehun-sur-Yèvre along the canal thanks to the facilities of the Departmental Council of Cher.
Archdiocese Garden
At the foot of Bourges Cathedral, this garden, with its beautiful view, will not leave you indifferent: games for children, a flowery and shaded park with a terrace for dining. The place is perfect for watching children playing around the gazebo or enjoying a carousel ride. You will find it difficult to leave this little corner of paradise.
Fichaux Meadows Garden
With its art deco style, this garden with geometric lines will surprise you. At the turn of the alleys of yews cut into arches, you will find a green theater, a terrace where you can eat and many fountains, statues and games for children.
